Learn the stock market before you risk a dollar

A gamified financial literacy app for iPhone, built solo under TISL LLC starting from no Swift experience. 25 quiz-gated lessons across 5 units, 4 historical market simulations, and a paper-trading sandbox that benchmarks returns against the S&P 500, including losses.

Supervisor: Richard Pamatatau, Senior Lecturer, Auckland University of Technology

A semester-long empirical study of governance for agent-assisted software, run on the build of an iOS app with a session log for every working session, a defect ledger, an attestation register, and machine-checked rules.

Counts as of September 23, 2026. Ongoing through November 2026. Dataset release planned at the end of the study.

  • 121

    Session logs

Every working session gets a log: what was asked, what changed, and how it was checked.

  • 428

    Defect ledger

Every defect and near miss is recorded the turn it is found, with how it was caught. 219 defects, 209 near misses.

  • 44

    Rules and gates

Defects that repeat become written rules, and the ones a machine can check become gates that run on every push.

  • 6

    Promises

The app's formal promises, like its privacy manifest, policies and age rating, are checked against what the code does.

The study so far

Every session log, ledger row, App Review decision and landmark rule, on the day it happened. Drag the timeline to move through it.
